Carol Stimmel resides in the greater Denver, Colorado USA area. She has nearly 20 years of experience in technology and software development, is the co-author of The Manager Pool, a trained and certified forensic investigator by the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners and an experienced Product and Engineering lead.

She has been granted two patents in the US , one in Europe, published papers, presented at conferences and for small groups. Her latter years have been working with high level business personnel who must understand the impact of technology on their business and the world.
Carol spent spent several years as Vice-President of Consulting with Gartner Group, Inc. At Gartner, Carol lead both internal and external initiatives related to security and New Media. As well, she developed new business, managed projects, and identified new ventures. She has been the Senior Director of Engineering and Special Projects at the internet start-up, Me.dium, Inc responsible for an Agile team of up to 32 engineers and Intellectual Property. Most recently, she was the Senior Director of Product Management at the Clean Tech startup Tendril, Inc.
Carol is currently a Research Director at E Source, Energy business intelligence provider, in Boulder, Colorado.
